Block Trashmail turns 10!
Today we celebrate a decade (!) of Block Trashmail. Since our founding 10 years ago, we have been helping to reliably identify disposable email addresses.

Value for user-agent required to use the API
To continue using the API, a value for user-agent mus be sent from May 1st, 2022.

Update of API limits
Limits for our API will be changed to 150 requests per IP address and 24 hours.

A more detailed way to check domains
We will be checking domains with a new approach by now. Including with an internal scoring.

Increasement of limits and a few more improvements
You can now make up to 1,500 requests from one IP-address per hour. We have also changed the value for "retry-after".

From 1st October 2020 we will no longer accept email addresses to check.

As of now caching is used to reduce page load time and we allow up to 1,000 requests per ip address and hour.

The limitations for the API have been changed. Now it is possible to make 100 requests per hour.

Restricted support for alternative domain extensions
Certain domain extensions will no longer be supported due to high rate of hits against the API.
